The State Patrol says a woman died after one car broadsided another.  The impact threw the woman and another man out of the car.

The crash happened at the intersection of Robert St. and Marie Ave. in West St. Paul around 9 p.m. Saturday.  Investigators say 5 people in one car drove out into Robert St. where another car driven by 40-year-old Lynette Landrum of West St. Paul broadsided them.  Landrum had minor injuries.

In the other car, one of the passengers, 26-year-old Leslie J. Garvia of St. Paul, was thrown out and had head and abdominal injuries.  She was taken to Regions in critical condition and later died.  Troopers say she was not wearing her seatbelt.

The driver of the car that entered the intersection, 23-year-old Fabio Dierings of St. Paul, had minor injuries.  Investigators say he was not drinking and was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash.  Another passenger, 19-year-old Breidy Garcia of St. Paul, also had minor injuries.  8-year-old Kimberly Fuentes was riding in Dierings' car and ruptured her spleen but is expected to be ok.  A fourth passenger, 26-year-old Jorge Zuniga of Columbia Heights, was not wearing his seatbelt and was also ejected.  He had head injuries but troopers say his injuries are not life threatening.
