DULUTH -- An Oak Grove man remained in critical condition at a Duluth hospital Sunday evening, one day after being struck by a hit and run driver.

The incident happened around around 2:30 a.m. Saturday in the 2200 block of Rice Lake Road.  Duluth Police say 18-year-old Alexander Balluff was walking south on the shoulder of the road with three friends when he was struck by a newer black SUV that was also headed south.  The driver then left the scene.

The vehicle is described as a newer small black SUV, possibly a Honda.  The SUV will have damage to its passenger side front and may have damage to the passenger side hood area.  The vehicle may also be missing its passenger side mirror which was found at the scene.

Anyone with information is asked to call Duluth Police at 218-730-5655.
