ST. PAUL, Minn. -- A 67-year-old woman was found dead in her St. Paul home and police say her husband is a suspect.
Officers were called to a home in the 1000 block of Barclay Street around 9:30 p.m. Monday on a report of a person down inside the home.
When officers arrived they found a man outside the home who said he was locked out. Police looking through the windows of the house saw a woman lying on the floor. The man said the woman who was apparently unconscious was his wife.
Police say the woman is 67-year-old Jean Andrine Wassenaar. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the man a suspect in the death. He was transported to Regions Hospital for evaluation.
The motive and manner of death remains the focus of the investigation. An autopsy will be performed later Tuesday.
