MINNEAPOLIS- A Hennepin County judge is chiding disgraced auto dealer Denny Hecker for his lack of candor in revealing his financial situation.

Judge Jay Quam is considering whether he should require Hecker to pay $7,500 a month to his wife Tamitha Hecker, who is the mother of their two children. The two are divorcing after 15 years of marriage.

After reviewing Hecker's submissions that were turned in last week, Quam is now ordering Hecker to submit sworn and detailed testimony about his financial situation. The more detailed records have to be turned in by November 13th.

Hecker claims he doesn't have the means to pay the money even if the judge ordered him to do so, so last month the judge ordered him to submit a detailed accounting of his finances.

Quam says Hecker claims to have received $230,000 since his bankruptcy filing, but when it comes to how it was spent, Hecker's "response is better than nonexistent, but not by much." The judge also chided him for tapping his 401K, calling it a 'marital asset.
