KARE in the Kitchen: Holiday cocktails!

Alicia Lewis and Sven Sundgaard got a crash course in whipping up a handful of interesting holiday cocktails via Tom from Blue Ice Vodka.

Skinny Pumpkin Martini

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — While good food is an essential part of the holiday season, a good cocktail is almost mandatory to set the mood... and allow you to endure the catty comments of that great aunt you see just once a year. 

On this week's KARE in the Kitchen Alicia Lewis and Sven Sundgaard got a crash course in whipping up a handful of interesting holiday cocktails via Tom from Blue Ice Vodka.

Here are the recipes, and remember to enjoy responsibly. 

Blue Ice and Pumpkin Spice

 

-2 ounces Blue Ice Potato Vodka 

-1 ounce sugar-free pumpkin pie spice creamer

-1 splash of light almond milk

- 1 pinch cinnamon for rim

- Garnish: cinnamon stick

Directions: Gather ingredients. Pour the ingredients into an old fashioned glass fill with Ice. Stir until perfection. Add cinnamon stick for garnish.

Pomegranate Fizz

 

- Ice

-3 oz San Pellegrino Pomegranate sparkling water

- 1.5 oz cup Blue Ice Vodka

- 1 apple slice

-1 orange slice

Directions: Fill cup with ice, pomegranate sparkling water and Blue Ice Vodka. Stir until perfection. Garnish with apple slices and orange slices.

Apple Cranberry Skinny Mule

-Ice 

-2 ounces Blue Ice Vodka

- 1.5 oz light cranberry juice

- 1.5 oz sparkling apple juice 

- 2 oz light ginger beer

- Fresh cranberries for garnish

Directions: Fill large glasses with ice. Add Blue Ice Potato Vodka and cranberry juice. Add sparkling apple juice and then fill the rest of way with light ginger beer. Stir until mixed to perfection.
