EDINA, Minn. — A man died early on Sunday morning after troopers said he suffered a medical incident and struck a median while driving.

The Minnesota State Patrol said the driver was headed east on Highway 62 in his 2003 Honda Civic just before 6 a.m. Sunday.

As the driver approached Gleason Road in Edina, his car drifted off the road on the left side and struck a median barrier, causing minor damage to the vehicle. The Honda then came to a stop in the left lane.

Officials said they believe a "medical situation" caused the incident.

No other information has been released at this time.
