Democrat Doug Jones did what any good Doug would do when capping a stunning victory for a U.S. Senate seat.
After he narrowly defeated Republican Roy Moore on Tuesday evening, he walked off stage to "Teach Me How to Dougie," Cali Swag District's ode to dance instruction.
After Jones gave his victory speech Tuesday evening, he waved goodnight to his supporters just before the baseline came in over the speakers. In C-SPAN's version of the speech, the song plays for a full 30 seconds after Jones' speech ends. It can also be heard in versions recorded by Fox10 in Phoenix and on NBC News.
Unsurprisingly, people were quite excited about the whole thing.
