Principal charged with stalking returns to jail

EAST BATTLE LAKE, Minn. - A middle school principal charged with stalking is back in jail, according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office was contacted on Thursday by Apple Valley police to help locate a wanted fugitive, Christopher Endicott, 50, of Apple Valley. Endicott is listed as the principal of Century Middle School in Lakeville.

The sheriff's office says Endicott was believed to be armed with a scoped rifle and possibly had intent to harm himself.

According to the incident report, a SWAT team responded and found Endicott in a fish house on East Battle Lake. He was taken into custody without incident, according to the sheriff's office, and is being held on charges from Apple Valley police.

Endicott was already charged with misdemeanor stalking after police say he broke into a number of victims' homes to steal personal information and data. One of the alleged victims was an Apple Valley police detective.

Endicott has been placed on leave from Century Middle School, according to a criminal complaint issued in Dakota County.
