2 die of injuries suffered in St. Croix County crash

The driver of an ATV that collided with a pickup in the town of Springfield and his passenger were taken to Regions Hospital, but did not survive.

ST. CROIX COUNTY, Wis — An ATV driver and his passenger have both died of injuries suffered when their vehicle collided with a pickup truck in western Wisconsin earlier this month.

The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office says 57-year-old John Jarvis and 58-year-old Pamela Jarvis were driving on County Trunk Highway E near 290th Street on their Kawasaki ATV Aug. 5 when it was struck by a Dodge pickup driven by a a woman from Menomonie. 

John Jarvis was flown by helicopter to Regions hospital for treatment, while Pamela Jarvis was transported there by ground ambulance. Investigators say neither was wearing a helmet. The 29-year-old driver of the pickup was treated at the scene and released. 

The sheriff's office reports that John Jarvis died of injuries suffered in the crash on Aug. 15, and Pamela Jarvis passed away Aug. 16. 

The collision is still under investigation.
