22-year-old dies after single-vehicle crash on I-35 in Faribault

The 22-year-old who died was not wearing a seatbelt, officials said.

FARIBAULT, Minn. — A 22-year-old man died after a single-vehicle crash on I-35 in Faribault Sunday morning.

A 21-year-old man from Columbia Heights was driving a pickup truck at around 8 a.m. when he lost control, went through the median and rolled the truck over, State Patrol officials said.

The driver and a 43-year-old passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The passenger, a 22-year-old Burnsville man was killed. Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt.
