Vikings gear selling out as fans get ready for Philly

Local retailers say the madness started just minutes after the last game ended.

MINNEAPOLIS - Minnesota Vikings fans are gearing up for Sunday's NFC Championship game against the Eagles.

Local retailers say the madness started just minutes after the last game ended.

"We were getting orders at 8:30 already Sunday night," Dome Souvenirs Plus owner Ray Crump says.

The hottest items may surprise you.

"We're selling a lot of Vikings plastic plates and cups," Crump explains. "People are already looking at what they're going to be doing next Sunday."

Other hot items include "Helga Hats." The iconic souvenir features a set of cloth horns and a pair of long yellow braids.

"We're sending out our last ones right now," Crump says.

"Norse Bricks" are also moving fast.

The bricks are purple, in honor of the Vikings, and are a made of foam, so fans can toss them around.

"A guy bought 20 of them so he could throw them at his TV when he gets mad during the game," Crump explains.

Over at Fan HQ in Minnetonka, the hottest items are anything with Stefon Diggs' name on it.

"Previously Adam Thielen's jersey was the hot one to have, but after Sunday, anything with number 14 on it is not going to be in stock for very long once we get it," owner Shaun Hagglund says.

The only Diggs jersey left at the shop was one that Diggs autographed personally.

That is, until lifelong fan Jay Elepano stopped by.

"That autograph Diggs jersey back there is probably going to go home with me," Elepano laughs.

Hagglund says they haven't had a non-autographed Diggs jersey since early Monday morning.

He's expecting another shipment later this week.

"The win was just huge for business," Hagglund says. "It went from nobody being interested to people being lined up at the door after the win."

Retailers are already placing orders for Super Bowl gear in case the Vikings beat the Eagles this Sunday.

Owners call them "If Win" orders because the orders go through if their teams win, and are canceled if their team loses.
