St. Paul Winter Carnival is looking for a new queen

The 2018 Queen of the Snows Jilla Nadimi appeared on KARE 11 to talk about her experience, travel and the application process.

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - If you've ever wanted to be queen, now's your chance. The St. Paul Winter Carnival has an opening.

Applications are now being accepted for the 2019 St. Paul Winter Carnival Queen of Snows Candidate Program.

The 2018 Queen of the Snows Jilla Nadimi appeared on KARE 11 to talk about her experience, travel and the application process.

The Queen of Snows program is open to all women. There are no restrictions with regard to marital status, dependents, place of residence or employment status.

All candidates must be at least 21 years old by Coronation Day (Jan. 25, 2019) and be a high school graduate. An informational meeting will be held on Thursday, Oct. 11, from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Mama T's Castle Tap in Little Canada.

The deadline to apply is Friday, Nov. 9. The 133rd St. Paul Winter Carnival is from Jan. 24 – Feb. 3, 2019. For more information or to apply, head to their website and click on Get Involved.
