Storms hit Twin Cities

Some much-needed rain fell in central Minnesota Thursday evening, bringing with it high winds heavy rains and even small hail. The winds did cause some damage which will keep property owners busy today.

At least 15 hurt in Canada restaurant explosion

Canadian police say an explosion set off deliberately in a restaurant has wounded at least 15 people, some of them critically According to investigators, the explosion was caused by an "improvised explosive device" set off by two people who then fled the scene in a Toronto suburb. The blast happened just after 10:30 p.m. last night local time and the plaza there is still closed off this morning.

North Korea still willing to talk to U.S. after President cancels Summit

North Korea says it's still willing to sit down for talks with the United States "at any time, at any format" just hours after President Donald Trump abruptly canceled his planned summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un. Vice Foreign Minister Kim Kye Gwan, a longtime nuclear negotiator and senior diplomat, said the North is "willing to give the U.S. time and opportunities" to reconsider talks.

Weinstein has turned himself in

Harvey Weinstein turned himself in to police in New York City this morning following a seven-month investigation into sexual assault allegations. Two law enforcement officials say the charges are related to a former actress, Lucia Evans, who says Weinstein assaulted her in 2004. One official says it's likely the case also will include at least one other victim who has not come forward publicly. The criminal charge against the film producer would be the first since scores of women began coming forward to accuse him of sexual misconduct. Weinstein has repeatedly said he didn't have nonconsensual sex with anyone.

Workplace temperature is often a hot topic at the water cooler. According to a new Career-Builder survey, 46% of workers say their office is either too hot or too cold. in fact, uncomfortable temperatures in the workplace may have a major impact on productivity. 51% of workers say that sitting in an office that is too cold impacts their productivity and 67% say an office that is too warm does the same. It can also be a divisive issue in some cases. 15% of workers say they've actually argued with a co-worker about office temperature while nearly 19% have secretly changed the thermostat during the summer.
