ST. PAUL, Minn. - The city of St. Paul is kicking off the dog days of summer with its annual Paws on Grand celebration on Sunday, August 2 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
The Grand Avenue Business Association and 30 Grand Avenue businesses are partnering with local rescue groups to celebrate our four-legged friends all along Grand Ave.
Some of the festivities include: warm water dog baths; holy mutt-rimony dog weddings; a blessing of the animals; a doggie fashion show; and a pet photo contest.
New this year is a celebrity dog house design competition and auction. Six local media personalities will build and design dog houses to raise money for their pet charities of choice.
KARE 11's own Laura Betker and Bryan Piatt are teaming up to build a fabulous dog house for Can Do Canines..
