GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. -- Tune in Friday night, April 18, to see some of country music's stars perform for a purpose. Outnumber Hunger is a partnership with General Mills, Feeding America and Big Machine Label Group.

The concert, airing on KARE 11 at 7 p.m., will serve as the kick off to a year long initiative to fight hunger in America. Participating musicians include Florida Georgia Line, Rascal Flatts, The Band Perry, Cassadee Pope and more. Gannett, the parent company of KARE 11, will be airing the concert on all of its stations.

One in six Americans struggles with hunger. Through the Outnumber Hunger program, everyone can help make a difference. Code numbers will be printed on the back of participating General Mills products. By entering that code on the Outnumber Hunger website, General Mills will make a donation to Feeding America to help provide meals for those in need.

The organization that will benefit locally is Second Harvest Heartland. Learn more about them by clicking here.
