Vintage Fall Crawl features 14 women-owned Twin Cities shops

100% of proceeds from Vintage Fall Crawl Passport sales during the month of October will be donated to the YWCA of St. Paul and Minneapolis.

ST PAUL, Minnesota — The Second Annual Vintage Fall Crawl is underway in the Twin Cities. During October, vintage lovers can get deals at 14 women-owned shops while also supporting a local nonprofit.

"Creating really this culture of community over competition has been really special," said Rebecca Sansone.

Sansone left her job working for an online furniture company to open The Mustache Cat in March 2022. The vintage and modern home goods shop features women-makers and women-owned businesses.

"I have always loved mixing vintage and modern in my own space. My friends joke that my house kind of threw up in here. I just got an extra 1,000 square feet to decorate," Sansone said.

Last year, Sansone and Amanda Baumann of Tandem Vintage in south Minneapolis were brainstorming ways to bring their communities together when they came up with the Vintage Fall Crawl.

We both have folks that shop our stores, that love vintage, and we wanted to introduce them to each other," Sansone said.

The crawl features 14 women-owned vintage shops in northeast Minneapolis, south Minneapolis and St. Paul. Shoppers buy a Vintage Fall Crawl Passport for $10, either online or through participating locations. The passport gets shoppers a one-time 10% discount at each store. Stamps are available at every location, with or without purchase. Once stamps are collected in the passport at all 14 shops, the back page can be submitted to any of the participating locations for a chance to win a $25 gift card from each store ($350 value). Three winners will be chosen.

All of the proceeds from Vintage Fall Crawl Passport sales will be donated to YWCA Minneapolis and YWCA Saint Paul which is focused on eliminating racism and empowering women.

Last year, they sold more than 600 passports and raised more than $6,000 for their nonprofit partner.

"Just great people coming together," said Jessica Goodpaster, co-owner of Style Society in St. Paul. Everyone who comes in the shop is always so excited to collect their stamps and check out new places and it's for a good cause too. It's just a win-win-win all around."
