An armed and dangerous suspect fled the Iron Range and may have headed to St. Paul, according to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

The BCA says two people were shot in Hibbing, Minnesota on Dec. 25. One of them was killed. A preliminary autopsy says the victim, Jeryel Octavius McBeth, a 34 year old male from Hibbing, died of "homicidal violence," according to a news release from the Hibbing Police Department.

Police and the BCA have identified the suspect as 29-year-old Jerome Diante Spann. He fled in a vehicle with another man and may have gone to St. Paul, where he has relatives, according to the BCA.

Spann is believed to be armed and dangerous. Anyone who knows where he is or has information is asked to call 911 or 218-263-3601.

The BCA provided a photo of Spann on its Facebook page. Spann has not yet been charged with a crime.
