ST. PAUL, Minn. - Federal authorities have barred a Minnesota brewery from marketing a seasonal beer as LSD Ale.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports the feds made the Indeed Brewing Company change the name of its Lavender Sunflower Date honey ale so the acronym LSD was no longer apparent.

Indeed co-founder Thomas Whisenand says the feds made it clear very quickly they didn't like the name LSD. He says Indeed tried to find a way to keep it on the label just by boldfacing the first letters of Lavender Sunflower Date. But he says there's not much you can do when the feds say no.

So Lavender, Sunflower Honey, and Dates Honey Ale will be available at Indeed's Minneapolis taproom starting this weekend and in psychedelic cans at stores later this month.
