People across the U.S. and the globe have shown an outpouring of support following the mass shooting in Orlando.
On Tuesday, a group of children decided to express theirs by raising funds for the victims' families.
"When life gives you lemons, make some lemonade," Orlando resident Jennifer Ferrer said.
The saying has taken on a new meaning for Ferrer. She and her children and friends set up a lemonade stand just down the road from the Pulse nightclub where 49 people were gunned down last weekend.
They're raising money for the victims' families, one cup at a time.
"You know I'm trying to teach them to be involved with their community, and when people need help, you need to be there. If you're able to help, you should be helping," Ferrer said.
It's a way for her kids to pitch in as they try to wrap their heads around the tragedy.
"I'm still in shock. There's just so much I still haven't processed yet, and I think a lot of people are," Orlando resident Kristen Warskow said.
Ferrer said the stand also serves as a message to those grieving that they are not alone.
"Show support for them. Let them know we're here," Ferrer said.
"I've never seen an outpouring of love like this, and I'm so happy to be a part of it and see the love in this city," Warskow said.
