Jeopardy Champions want viewers to play for Alex Trebek on Thursday, Friday

Players started a campaign to salute Trebek and help him in his fight against pancreatic cancer.

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — It’s been an emotional week on Jeopardy to say the least.

As the Tournament of Champions plays out, many just can't seem to forget the most unforgettable moment on Monday’s episode, when in Final Jeopardy a player who didn’t know the answer in the form of a question wrote out a tribute to Alex Trebek instead.

It caught the storied host off guard, so much so he choked up and shortly after the hashtag #WeLoveYouAlex was trending, all paying tribute to Trebek who is battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

At the same time, the players had already started another campaign to salute Trebek and help him in his fight.

An online all play of the game – with simple rules.

On Thursday, Nov. 14th and Friday, Nov. 15th, they are asking that ALL of us play along at home – and ever time we get the right answer in the form of a question – we donate a dollar to pancreatic cancer research – specifically to this organization: https://www.lustgarten.org/donate/

Jana talked with one of the contestants who came up with this idea, and who was there for Monday night’s epic moment.

His name is Steven Grade, here is their chat.
