ST PAUL, Minn. — A popular St. Paul restaurant was robbed over the weekend.
El Burrito Mercado, a restaurant and market on the west site of St. Paul, posted on its Facebook page Friday about a robbery "that has traumatized both our staff and customers."
The St. Paul Police Department is working with investigators but have no new information.
The restaurant opened for limited hours on Saturday, to "continue collaborating with police and give our staff time to be with their families."
The statement continued, "We are heartbroken for our staff and customers that were victimized by these cowards. We hope justice is served."
In another comment, the restuarant posted that everyone is ok but the incident was "traumatic."
El Burrito Mercado has locations in St. Paul and Minneapolis.
