ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Despite his name and previous reputation, zoo officials at the ABQ BioPark Zoo say "Feisty" the seal is actually quite calm, as he's adjusting to his new surroundings.

Feisty was best known for his "grand escape" that was captured on social media during severe flooding at the Duluth zoo in June of 2012. He was locally famous after photos surfaced of him making his way across Grand Avenue, near the Lake Superior Zoo. He was eventually transferred to the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory in St. Paul, where he lived for a few years before his transfer down south.

In late November, Feisty was transported to BioPark Zoo, where he's just recently moved in with his new exhibit mates -- three other seals and one sea lion. The BioPark zookeeper supervisor stated on their website that the 25-year-old seal is very "mellow and laid back." She added that he's doing very well at his new home.
