MINNEAPOLIS - A voice that's been missed on Twin Cities airwaves will be back next week.
89.3 The Current DJ Mary Lucia is returning to work on Nov. 9, during her usual time slot, according to a press release issued Monday. She'll be back between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
Lucia had been on leave since last April, after a stalker turned her "world upside down for nearly two years," she wrote in a letter announcing her return.
"After much careful thought, even though this whole drama is far from being over, I'm returning to work and genuinely feel excited to reconnect with my buddies at The Current, and of course with you my friends, the listeners," she wrote.
The stalker, identified as 56-year-old Patrick Kelly of Eden Prairie, is behind bars after pleading guilty to the incidents. The case is still ongoing.
