St. Paul police investigating another copper theft

St. Paul police are investigatingseveralcases of copper wire stolen from streetlights.

The latest theft came sometime this month at Crosby Farm Regional Park after the area was closed due to flooding.p dir="ltr">Parks and Recreation spokesman Brad Meyer tells the St. Paul Pioneer Press that someone stole 1,100 feet of wire from four lights. He calls the theft "extensive" and something that wouldn't be able to be done quickly.p dir="ltr">Just last week, someone stole 2,800 feet of wire by Cherokee Heights Park. Two weeks ago, wire was taken from about a dozen streetlights in between where the two most recent thefts occurred./>
