Did anyone win the $563 million Mega Millions jackpot?

Mega Millions hasn't seen a jackpot winner since December.

WASHINGTON — The Mega Millions jackpot is now above $600 million after Tuesday's jackpot remained unclaimed.

The grand prize is now $607 million, up from $563 million before the Tuesday drawing. The next chance to claim the prize will be Friday, March 1.

But that doesn't mean there isn't a new millionaire out there. One ticket in Florida matched all five white ball numbers, securing a cool $1 million for its owner.

Mega Millions hasn't seen a grand prize winner since December 8, 2023, when two tickets shared a $394 million jackpot.

Last year was a big year for massive lottery jackpots, with two Mega Millions jackpots and one Powerball jackpot worth over $1 billion. Tuesday's $563 million jackpot doesn't even crack the top ten largest U.S. lottery jackpots.

Winners almost always take the cash option, but they do have a choice to instead get the full amount in regular payments over 29 years. The cash value of Tuesday's jackpot is $266.1 million.

The odds of winning the jackpot are one in 302,575,350.
