COON RAPIDS, Minnesota — Police say an SUV hauling a camper swerved out of control and caused a traffic jam along Highway 10 in Coon Rapids Friday night.  

The incident initially started as a traffic stop outside a gas station at the intersection of 7th Avenue and East River Road in Anoka around 8 p.m.  Police say the SUV sped off leading to a pursuit.

The pursuit culminated in the SUV swerving and the camper tipping over after police deployed stop sticks along Highway 10 near Egret Boulevard. 

The driver suffered minor injuries and was sent to the hospital before being arrested by local authorities.

This case is still under investigation.  No further details have been released at this time.
