RUSH CITY, Minn. — The Chisago County Sheriff's Office says a man died from injuries suffered in an ATV crash late last month.

On July 30, deputies received a report of an ATV crash with injuries, west of Rush City.

The crash involved one ATV with one driver.

The cause of the crash is "believed to be contributed to speed, and a plow on the ATV digging into the pavement," according to a press release.

Deputies say these two factors caused the driver to lose control and roll the ATV. The driver was not wearing a helmet. The man was taken by North Memorial Air Care to North Memorial Hospital in critical condition. The ATV driver was identified as 59-year-old Gordon Baldwin of Rush City, Minnesota, according to the press release.

On Wednesday, Aug. 5, the Chisago County Sheriff's Office was informed that Baldwin died from his injuries.
