GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn.-- If you're looking for something to do Friday, Aug. 17, want to rub elbows with some of the NHL's biggest stars and help a good cause, make sure to check out the second annual Shine A Ligh7 (Light) Foundation charity event at First Avenue in downtown Minneapolis.
The event will feature different sorts of musical entertainment, food and a silent auction.
The Shine A Light Foundation was started by Paul Martin, an Elk River native, who finished the hockey season with the San Jose Sharks last year.
Martin started the foundation to help raises awareness toward anti-bullying efforts, suicide prevention and to also end social stigmas associated with mental illnesses.
