This fueling service will put gas in your car while you sleep

Filld is only available in a few cities in the U.S. and Canada, but has plans to expand.

In today's world, you can get almost anything delivered to your home. Now, you can add gas to that list.

Filld, a mobile fueling service, aims to help you avoid the gas station by sending someone to fill up your gas tank while you sleep.

It recently expanded to Washington, D.C., according to NBC Washington. The service is also available in the Bay Area in California, Seattle, Portland and Vancouver, Canada.

Here's how it works. First, you sign up online, share some information about your car and pick the fuel you want. Then, you leave your gas flap open and a driver comes to fill your tank up overnight.

The cost is based on the average gas price in your area. There is also a $4 delivery fee.

Additional fees apply if you use Filld's on-demand service.

For neighbors in Washington, D.C., one major concern was the safety of a gas truck driving around in the middle of the night.

According to Filld, delivery drivers are certified and fuel trucks only hold about 400 gallons of fuel max. There is also an emergency shutoff switch inside the truck.

Filld is not currently available in the Twin Cities, but the company says it does have plans to expand. You can get updates on its expansion and learn more about the service on its website here.
