Many experts link the decline in America's attention span to our constant use of smart phones, tablets and other technology which is designed to be distractive and addictive.

In the year 2000 the average person's attention span in America was 12 seconds.

By 2015 that average dropped to eight seconds - less than a goldfish's attention span of nine seconds - yes, a goldfish!
