Victoria Burrow grand opening features axes, virtual reality

A new Twin Cities entertainment venue will hold its grand opening next weekend in Victoria, Minn.

VICTORIA, Minn.- Can't decide between mini golf, virtual reality or axe-throwing? Good news - you no longer have to.

Victoria Burrow is a new entertainment venue west of the Twin Cities that offers all of these activities and more. Victoria Burrow's grand opening will be at 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 19. The grand-opening event will go from 5 p.m. to close on both Friday and Saturday.

This venue will be the first in the Twin Cities to have axe-throwing AND a full bar with 30+ beers on tap.

ACTIVITIES

Axe-throwing at Victoria Burrow can be done solo or in a league. There are coaches provided to help perfect your technique. Initial chucking session include training, throwing demonstrations, safety protocols and throwing. After an initial session, guests can chuck for 30-minute sessions with or without reservation (based on availability) on one of the single lanes.

The venue has a full 18-hole course for miniature golf, which the website calls "championship level." The course includes undulating greens, rough, traps and "realistic" play. Guests can grab a drink during a round of mini golf.

Virtual reality at the burrow allow guests to try even riskier activities from the safety of a pod. Groups of up to four guests can book a virtual reality pod.

Other games include bocce ball, darts, skee-ball and foosball.

FOOD

A scratch kitchen at the burrow features "artisan food," according to the website. The menu includes smoked meats, the Gold Nugget burger and ‍‍‍fries, barbecue and artisan pizza.

DRINKS

Victoria Burrow provides a full bar and a wide selection of craft drinks. There are more than 30 beers on tap.
