Missing California dog found in Minnesota after a decade

The chihuahua is now being reunited with her family in the Bay Area.

BURNSVILLE, Minn — A 14-year-old chihuahua is being reunited with her family in California, after being found in Burnsville, Minnesota.

Isabella was found a few weeks ago, roaming around a Burnsville yard. When animal control scanned her microchip they found out her owners live in California, and she had been missing for 10 years.

Isabella had been living with a Minnesota family for years, but it's not clear how they got her.

Last week, Isabella was placed with a company that transports pets cross-country, to be reunited with her rightful owners in the Bay Area, who have been thinking about her all these years.

"For how much this little dog has been through, it's amazing," said Chris Friggle with Burnsville Animal Control.
