A dog day to support Golden Retrievers

RAGOM holds a day of activities for Golden Retrievers and their humans, to support the charity's rescue mission.

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. - Retrieve a Golden of the Midwest (RAGOM) hosts Goldzilla on Sept. 9, 2018, to offer a day of fun for all breeds of every shape and size.

RAGOM is a charity with more than 450 devoted volunteers who rescue, foster, and find loving forever homes for golden retrievers and golden mixes. For 33 years, RAGOM has cared for nearly 9,000 goldens from homelessness, neglect, abuse, or surrender.

Activities include:

  • Ears & Tails game with a grand prize
  • Paw prints painting
  • K9 Nose Work® demonstrations
  • Photo contest
  • Lure course
  • Doggie lotto
  • Agility
  • Beach swimming
  • RAGOM reunions

The event will recognize the volunteers who support RAGOM and who have rescued 150 goldens and mixes thus far in 2018.

WHEN: Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018, rain or shine, 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
