ST PAUL, Minn. — St. Paul Police are investigating a deadly shooting Monday afternoon just blocks away from Macalester College's campus.
According to the St. Paul Police Department, the shooting occurred at around 1:30 p.m. on the 1700 block of St. Claire Avenue. When officers arrived at the scene they found a man inside a vehicle with apparent gunshot wounds. The man was transported to Regions Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Police identified the man Tuesday as 28-year-old Devonte Steven Ingram of Brooklyn Park.
It's the 14th homicide in the city this year.
No arrests have been made, but officers say that the shooting does not appear to be random.
