EDINA, Minn. — The Edina Police Department is asking for the public's help after a U.S. postal worker was robbed by a man with a gun, according to a new release.

Police said the postal worker was robbed in the 5700 block of W. 66th Street around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Investigators said the postal worker was believed to be targeted and followed by two suspects in a newer, mid-size, dark-colored SUV.

Police said the postal worker was approached by a suspect, armed with a gun, who came from the passenger side of the SUV.  Police officials described the suspect as a "man in his mid-20s; 5-foot-nine, approximately 170-200 pounds; and wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt," according to the news release.

The postal worker was not hurt.

Investigators did not say what was taken.

Edina police officials are asking if anyone has outdoor camera footage or anyone who may have witnessed the robbery. Anyone with information should call Detective Nicole Frederick at 952-826-0427 or email nfrederick@EdinaMN.gov.
