ST PAUL, Minn. — St. Paul Police have identified the man fatally shot outside a house party on the city's east side early Saturday.
Charles Frye, age 39, was declared dead on the scene after officers responded around 3:30 a.m. to numerous calls reporting shots fired on the 400 block of Maryland Avenue East.
Another man was wounded, but survived the shooting.
Relatives say Frye was a father of nine children who will be remembered for the love he showed to them and a grandson. Frye had been charged with murder in 2017 and attempted murder in 2006, but charges were dropped in both cases.
No arrests have been made in the Saturday morning homicide. Anyone with any information is asked to call Saint Paul police at 651-266-5650.
