MINNEAPOLIS — EDITOR'S NOTE: Previously, Minneapolis police released information stating that one woman died in Sunday's crash and later retracted that information.

Five women were injured after a vehicle rolled near the Dowling Avenue North exit in Minneapolis on Sunday morning, police said.

Police say just before 8:30 Sunday morning, officers were called to a single-vehicle rollover crash near Dowling Avenue North and the exit ramp from eastbound I-94.

When officers arrived they found a severely damaged Toyota RAV4 leaning on its side against a telephone pole. Police said three injured women were lying outside the vehicle after apparently being ejected in the crash. Another woman had been partially ejected through the vehicle's windshield, police said, and a fifth woman was trapped inside.

Emergency responders worked to save the women. Two victims were rushed to Hennepin County Medical Center and the other three were taken to North Memorial Hospital.

The other three passengers injured in the crash are 24, 25, 25 and 28 years old, police said. The driver is 26. No other information has been released about their conditions by law enforcement officials.

Police said investigators are still working to determine if alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash. There have been no arrests as of Monday afternoon.
