Movie critic Brian Eggert recommends Christmas classics and what to watch in theaters

Eggert, who writes about classic, independent, international and new releases, shared some of his picks.

MINNEAPOLIS — With the movie awards season underway and Christmas releases out now, it's a great time to be a movie fan. 

Movie critic Brian Eggert joined KARE 11 Saturday and recommended what to watch in theaters and Christmas movies that are streaming.

Eggert, who writes about classic, independent, international and new release movies, said he recommends "The Iron Claw," "Poor Things" and "The Boy and the Heron," which are in theaters.

For getting into the spirit of Christmas, Eggert recommends "Holiday Affair," streaming on Max, "Christmas with the Campbells," streaming on AMC+ and HULU and "The Shop Around the Corner," streaming on Max.
