STILLWATER, Minn. — HealthPartners Lakeview Hospital announced Thursday that it is moving into the next phase for a new campus near its current location in Stillwater.

The new campus will offer advanced critical care and specialized centers for heart, cancer and orthopedic care, according to a news release from HealthPartners. It will be located at Highway 36 and Manning Avenue, which is about three miles from the existing Lakeview Hospital campus.

“The east metro and western Wisconsin communities we serve continue to grow and change," said Lakeview Hospital President Brandi Lunneborg. "For example, the percentage of people over age 65 is projected to increase 20% over the next five years. The need for coordinated services for chronic illnesses such as cardiology, cancer and orthopedic care will also increase.”

This next phase of planning includes community input and updates on a timeline and services. Hospital leadership has announced Chicago-based HKS and local firm BWBR as architectural firms for the project.

“As we look ahead, our new health campus will allow us to keep pace with the needs of a growing, changing community,” said president and CEO of HealthPartners Andrea Walsh in the news release. "With the community’s input, we plan to create a state-of-the art campus that is ready for the future.”

Lakeview Hospital includes Stillwater Medical Group, Lakeview Hospital and Lakeview Foundation. It is part of the nonprofit HealthPartners.
