Popular south Minneapolis eatery to close

The restaurant is limiting reservations and releasing reservations for the following week via its online newsletter.

MINNEAPOLIS — A well-liked south Minneapolis restaurant will soon close its doors.

Italian Eatery and its sister restaurant, Un Dito, will end operations at the end of May or mid-June, according to a statement.

"Our team is prioritizing support for our employees and the local community," said the statement from Carrara and Co., which operates both Minneapolis restaurants, and Due Focacceria in St. Paul.

The restaurant is limiting reservations and releasing reservations for the following week via its online newsletter.

Depite the closures of Italian Eatery and Un Dito, Due Focacceria will remain operational.

"I'm pleased to inform you that all other Carrara & Co operations remain unaffected, including Due Focacceria, and we are even expanding our services," according to the message.
