Police ask for help after man found in the street with serious injuries

Police ask anyone with information on the Saturday afternoon incident to contact them.

SOUTH SAINT PAUL, Minn. — A man was in serious condition Saturday after being struck by an unknown driver. Now police in South St. Paul are asking the public for help identifying a suspect. 

Around 6:30 p.m., emergency crews were called to the area around Concord Street and Richmond Street in South St. Paul. When they arrived, they found a man lying in the street, officials said. 

Police said his injuries were significant and it appeared he had been struck by a motor vehicle. The vehicle was no longer at the scene. 

First responders aided the man and he was taken to the hospital. On Saturday night officials said his current condition was unknown. 

Officials said their investigation is ongoing and asked anyone with information to contact South St. Paul Police at 651-413-8300.
