Star Wars' blue milk hits shelves ahead of May the 4th

The drink is being offered in half-gallon jugs at Cub, Hy-Vee, Coborn's, Walmart and Target, according to the release, and will be available through July.

MINNEAPOLIS — You don't have to travel to a galaxy far, far away to get a glass of blue milk.

Kemps teamed up with Lucasfilm to give Minnesotans a chance to bring the iconic blue drink, first introduced in Star Wars: A New Hope, to their kitchen tables. Blue Milk was previously available exclusively at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge® in Disney Parks.

“Kemps is all about fun and flavor, so we’re always looking for new and innovative ways to bring the joys of flavored milk from our family farms to families across the country,” Senior Vice President of Innovation and Marketing for Dairy Farmers of America Dairy Brands Rachel Kyllo said in a press release. “With the mass cross-generational appeal that the Star Wars franchise offers, we’re excited to see fans of all ages indulging in this delicious beverage that’s also a good source of protein for strong muscles.”

The vanilla-flavored drink is being offered in half-gallon jugs at Cub, Hy-Vee, Coborn's, Walmart and Target, according to the release, and will be available through July.
