Valleyfair hiring 600 workers for ValleySCARE this fall

Open interviews are planned September 7-14 at the Shakopee park.

SHAKOPEE, Minn. — Valleyfair is planning to hire 600 additional seasonal workers as the amusement park prepares to host its annual ValleySCARE attractions for Halloween this fall.

The new positions include character actors, ride operators, food and beverage associates, and safety and security workers.

Open interviews will take place at Valleyfair from September 7 to September 14, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. each day. Applications are also accepted online at the Valleyfair website.

Security officer positions will pay up to $15 per hour, while ride operators earn $14 per hour. Potential employees need to be 18 years of age or older for those positions, while those under 18 can work at The Great Pumpkin Fest attractions.

Valleyfair says employees receive a number of incentives, including free park admission, apparel, and tickets for family and friends.

ValleySCARE beings on Saturday, September 21, and continues each weekend until Sunday, October 27.
