Women 'Crushing It' Wednesday: Brenda Tushaus, CEO of RE/MAX Results

She's advancing in her industry and making a legacy for her boys.

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. - Brenda Tushaus has spent 17 years at the same company, but not at the same desk.

RE/MAX Results serves the greater Minnesota area, finding people their perfect home.

Brenda Tushaus started with RE/MAX Results as a Technology Manager. After that, she was promoted to Business Development Manager, then Director of Recruiting. Last year, she became Chief Operating Officer of RE/MAX Results.

Now, Tushaus is the Chief Executive Officer of RE/MAX Results.

"My day to day is making sure our operations are top notch and running smoothly for our real estate agents so they can run their own successful businesses." Tushaus said. "I love what I do every day because its fun. I hire happy people and it's a requirement that you really have to enjoy what you do for a living."

John Collopy, owner of RE/MAX Results, had this to say about Tushaus' job performance.

“Brenda has played an integral part in growing RE/MAX Results to what it is today,” said Collopy in a news release. “I am honored to have Brenda assume this position and have complete trust in her knowledge and abilities to advance Results’ strategic objectives in the real estate marketplace.”

Tushaus says having fun while doing your job is necessary.

"We all spend the majority of our lives at work," she said. "It's gotta be something that you're super passionate about."

Tushaus is also passionate about the impression she leaves on her young sons.

"I'm raising boys, but even for my boys I'm creating a legacy for them to see what women are capable of." she said.

Here's what Tushaus would tell other women in business.

"Chase those dreams, do what you want to do, don't worry about limitations, you're capable of anything. Just go after it. Go after it. Who cares what they say."
