Lynx to add seats for home games against Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark

Pro basketball's new "It Girl" and her club will play at Target Center on July 14 and August 24, and 200-level tickets are being made available to meet demand.

MINNEAPOLIS — Make hay when the sun shines.

It's an old saying that has modern meaning, especially considering that new WNBA "It Girl" Caitlin hails from Iowa and the midwestern farm belt. Clark will draw massive crowds when she and the Indiana Fever visit cities across America, and venues like Target Center.

The Minnesota Lynx know Clark is a marketable attraction, and on Thursday announced that the club will be adding sellable seats at Target Center when the Fever comes to town on both July 14 and Aug. 24. Tickets for 200 (upper) level seats will go on sale this Friday, May 10 at 9 a.m. by logging on to Ticket Central or calling the box office at 612-673-8400.

"Due to unprecedented demand, new inventory has been released for the highly anticipated matchups featuring 2023 All-WNBA First Team superstar Napheesa Collier vs. the Fever and Caitlin Clark’s return to Minneapolis," reads a press release announcing the added seating that references Clark's sold-out appearance at Target Center during the Big Ten Tournament in March.

Besides providing the opportunity to witness Clark in her rookie season, the Aug. 24 game also features a celebration of Lynx legend Maya Moore, who will have her jersey retired.

The Lynx say 100-level seats are still available, and can be accessed at the best price by buying half-season or full-season tickets.
