GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. -- Don't have central air conditioning? Does one area of your home get hotter than others? Small changes can go a long way in keeping you and your home cool this summer.
KARE 11's Sven Sundgaard has some tips to do so - and maybe even save some energy!
- Close your blinds or buy blackout curtains to keep out the sun's energy.
- Close doors and vents in rooms you're not using much.
- Sleep on the lowest level of your home.
- Open windows and put a fan inside to create airflow.
- Use energy efficient light bulbs. They put off less heat!
