Suspect arrested after Linden Hills fatal shooting

Police say the woman was shot by her live-in domestic partner.

MINNEAPOLIS — After a shooting in Linden Hills turned deadly Sunday night, Minneapolis investigators arrested the suspect the next day.

Around 8 p.m. on Sunday, officials responded to a report of a shooting at the 4200 block of Sheridan Ave. S and found a 43-year-old woman in an apartment building who had been shot. She later died from her injuries, despite immediate life-saving medical care.

The woman's sister, Kena Johnson, has identified her as Kesha Moore. Officials believe this was a domestic incident between Kesha and a man who lived with her.

Minneapolis police reported that they tracked that 50-year-old man to Maple Grove on Monday night and then conducted a felony traffic stop in Golden Valley near the intersection of Douglas Dr. N and St. Croix Ave. He is currently being held in the Hennepin County Jail on probable cause murder and DWI.

KARE 11 generally does not name suspects until they have been formally charged.
