It's official, the state's newest professional team will be called the Minnesota Myth.

The Arena Football League announced the team's nickname in a press release Tuesday, along with the team's majority owner and head coach.

Diana Hutton, an attorney and local cigar lounge owner, is the team's majority owner, making her the first Latina majority team owner in league history. Former University of Minnesota and quarterback Rickey Foggie was announced as the team's first head coach.

Foggie, who also played for the AFL's Minnesota Fighting Pike in 1996, bounced around the league for eight seasons before turning to coaching.

This will be Minnesota's first arena football team since the Fighting Pike played one season in 1996 playing at the Target Center.

The Arena Football League first began in the late 1980s featuring an altered rulebook that promoted faster play and higher scoring. The fields are smaller, field goals are slimmer and there are barriers instead of out-of-bounds. The Myth are one of 16 teams
