Frey takes Wolves-Mavs 'sweet' bet from Dallas mayor

Both mayors appear to have a sweet tooth as evidenced by what they wagered.

MINNEAPOLIS — Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey sweetened the offer from Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson on Monday by offering up a similar reward for the winner of the Western Conference Finals.

On Twitter (X), Johnson had wagered local Dallas sweets if the Timberwolves beat the Mavericks in the best-of-seven series.

A short time later, Mayor Frey responded by betting sweets from Dancing Bear Chocolate in the event the Wolves lose.

The Mavericks rallied past the Wolves 108-15 in Game 1 of the series Wednesday night.

Game 2 of the series is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at Target Center.
