WEATHER: Clouds move in tonight for a wet start to our weekend

Clouds increase tonight before light rain moves back in Saturday morning.

MINNESOTA, USA — Our beautiful blue skies will be replaced with clouds from the southwest this evening. Temperatures will start to fall out of the 60s and low 70s this evening.

Showers will start to stream in from west-central Minnesota towards the Lake Superior this evening. Rain will continue through the overnight hours, dropping .25"- .50" across portions of northern Minnesota by Saturday afternoon.

A front passes Saturday morning, bringing some wet weather the first half of the day. The rain departs by early afternoon, and Sunday is looking spectacular with sunshine along with highs near 70.

Saturday will start out with passing showers during the morning before giving way to sunshine and warming temperatures.

The thermometer will reach into the 50s and low 60s behind our latest cold front passes through the region Saturday morning.

The combination of blue skies and a light south wind will move our temperatures back to the 60s and low 70s for Sunday.

We're tracking another strong front to pass late Monday into Tuesday morning. We're expecting thunderstorms, with a chance of some being strong. More showers are expected on Thursday as low pressure lingers around the region before the weather dries out on Friday.
